Sudoku Leaderboard is a daily Sudoku game for Android made by Pramanik, based in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what you can do about it. Questions go to contact@pramanik.ca.
We collect only what the game and leaderboard need to work.
| What | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Google Play Games player ID and display name | Google Play Games sign-in | To identify your account and show your name on leaderboards |
| Country | You pick it on first launch (pre-filled from your phone's region) | Country leaderboards |
| Puzzle start and submit times | Recorded by our server | To time your solve fairly |
| Mistakes, hint use, and your solved grid | Sent when you finish a puzzle | Ranking, tie-breaks, and streaks |
| Your local date | Your device | So "today's puzzle" matches your calendar day |
We do not collect your email, contacts, precise location, or photos.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics for Firebase to measure sign-ins, which countries players come from, and when you share results to social media. It may also collect basic device and app details (device model, Android version, app version) and an app-instance identifier.
We use your information only to run the game: serve the daily puzzle, time and check your solve, rank you, and track your streak. We also use it to spot cheating and limit abuse.
What other players see: your display name, country, solve time, mistake count, and rank on the daily leaderboards. Nothing else about you is public.
You can play for free with ads, or pay a one-time fee to remove them.
Ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads. Where the law requires it (for example, in the EU and UK), we ask for your consent before showing personalized ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings. See how Google uses data from apps.
Purchases. The one-time purchase is handled by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details. We receive only a confirmation that you bought the ad-free version, so we can turn ads off on your account.
Your data is stored with our hosting provider, Supabase, on servers in the United States.
We do not sell or rent your information. We share it only with the services that run the app (Supabase for hosting, Google for sign-in, analytics, ads, and payments), or when the law requires it.
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we will delete the account.
You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information at any time. To delete your account, email contact@pramanik.ca from the Google account you play with, or use the request steps at pramanik.ca/sudoku. Include your Player ID (open the app, go to Settings, and tap Copy under Player ID) so we can find your account. Within 30 days we delete your account and all information tied to it, including your past results, leaderboard entries, and analytics data held by Google. We may ask you to confirm you own the account before deleting it.
If you are in Canada, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and post the new version on this page.
